There are always opportunities to volunteer!

1. Apply for a volunteer/paid position at one of the camps by filling out this application form and submit it to the camp email (campgitchigomee@gmail.com)

2. Help us communicate with your church congregation by offering to become a church representative

3. Take a position on a standing committee (Nominating, Finance, Property, Program, and Personnel)

4. Lend a helping hand when you can: such as opening up camp in the spring, or closing the camp in the fall

Camp Staffing

Note: every staff member (volunteer and paid) at camp must supply references and pass a Police Records Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening (PRC with VSS only required if over the age of 18). Please email today if you are interested in a position or would like job descriptions of available positions.

Paid Positions Include:

Waterfront Director

1. The National Lifeguard Service’s Award (Waterfront preferred) required

2. Standard First Aid and CPR “C” Certificate required

3. Red Cross Water Safety and LS Society Instructor required

4. Canoeing experience &/or certification required

5. Lifeguard experience (minimum of 2 years preferred)

6. Minimum age: 18 years

Lifeguard

1. Current National Lifeguard Service’s Certificate (Waterfront preferred) required

2. Current Standard First Aid and CPR “C” required

3. Minimum age: 16 years

4. Red Cross/LS Instructor Award and some canoeing experience an asset

Cook

1. Current Safe Food Handling Certificate required

2. Minimum age: 18 years

Assistant Cook

1. Minimum age: 18 years

Kitchen Helper

 1. Minimum age: 16 years OR 14 years with a guardian staying on-site
